Rick Pendrous
Rick has been a journalist, editor and publisher for over 30 years, working on a variety of weekly and monthly magazines serving the industrial, public and commercial sectors.
He has edited Food Manufacture magazine for the past 10 years, before which he was a publisher for Inside Communications, a subsidiary of Trinity Mirror, responsible for four business-to-business magazines and Nemex, the energy managers' exhibition.
Rick was also Features Editor on the municipal engineering weekly Surveyor and before that, Technical News Editor on The Engineer.
During his career, Rick has edited a number of publications covering manufacturing, processing and metals manufacture.
Although Rick comes from a research background and has a PhD in Metallurgy, he has spent most of his publishing career making complex science and technology understandable and accessible to non-specialists.
Rick also has considerable knowledge of contract publishing and managing web-based projects.
