Vic Wyman

Vic Wyman has 20 years of experience in journalism, including news reporting, feature writing, subbing and the commissioning and directing of photographers and illustrators.

Throughout his career he has managed staff and contributors and much of his work has been international. He has extensive expertise in energy topics but his technical knowledge is wide and he has an aeronautical engineering degree.

He was associate editor of the UK's leading weekly engineering news magazine The Engineer and more recently was news editor of Professional Engineer. He is the main news writer on Electrical Review.

He edited the newsletter Inside Energy, which covered the UK energy sector during its recent liberalisation. He also edited the Brussels-based international magazine Pulp & Paper International, which involved running a worldwide team of more than 50 stringers.

He has stepped in at short notice as temporary editor on publications, which include Energy In Buildings and Industry and the international magazine Reinsurance and was author of a book on the future of property development. He has written for a wide range of publications, including Inside Food & Drink, The Times and the London Evening Standard. He has also produced detailed studies of energy markets for large consultancies and companies and detailed readership profiles for magazines.
